MOGA, Feb 13 - Several organisations of the state, including religious ones, yesterday urged the Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee, to use his good office to bring back the kalgi of Guru Gobind Singh from the United Kingdom for the Khalsa Heritage Complex at Anandpur Sahib. Mr G.S. Cheema, Principal Secretary, Cultural Affairs, Punjab, has already decided to constitute a committee for acquiring precious objects for the complex. In a letter to the Prime Minister, these organisations said that as per their knowledge, the Guru's kalgi was at present lying in Albert Museum in London. These organisations also urged the Prime Minister to make efforts to bring back other objects associated with Sikh history from abroad. | |
