The SGPC constituted a six- member committee to go through the controversial book .Describing the controversy over book , as “ most unfortunate” SGPC chief Avtar Singh said suitable action would be taken against those who failed to point out blasphemous portion of the book . He said the committee had been asked to go through other books on Sikh history , published by private publishers so that controversial facts could be deleted . He alleged the controversy was being raised under some “conspiracy” . In another development, the meeting of the Sikh high priests at Akal Takht today accepted the authority of outside Takhts (Patna Sahib and Hazoor Sahib) to take major decisions , pertaining to the Sikh Panth . All five Sikh high priests endorsed the decision of Takht Patna Sahib to dissolve the Sikh Paritinidhi Sabha , Orissa. |
