Rs 1.26 cr for renovation of royal graveyard |

The town has been sanctioned Rs 1.26 crore for renovation and restoration of Shahi Samadhan (royal graveyards). This was stated by Mr Randip Singh, MLA, Nabha here. He said that the foundation stone of the work would be laid by Mrs Ambika Soni in November. He told the Railway Ministry had okayed a Railway overbridge on the Sangrur road at the crossing level near urban estate.
He added previously the local municipal council got Rs 1.1 crore for laying sewerage, and strengthening of internal roads of the town and improving water supply, Tenders for these works have already been floated and all works would be accomplished by November 15. He said that the council recently finished many works worth Rs 62 lakh in various wards of the town. Among these Rs 25 lakh on paving of lanes in wards number 1,2,3,4,11,13,15 and 16; Rs 25 lakh for wards 6,12 and 13; Rs 4 lakh for flooring of wards 9 and 16; Rs 6 lakh on the repairing of Government Ayurvedic Dispensary and Rs 1.5 lakh for changing of roofs of Government Model School.
