Welcoming the state government’s decision to sanction Rs 1.25 crores to preserve historic Qila Mubarak of Bathinda, the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has offered its services in restoration, conservation and preservation of historical and other buildings in the state.
In a release issued here today, Dr Sukhdev Singh, Punjab state convenor of INTACH, said that the fort had a history of more than 14 centuries and a distinct structure. He added that apart from rendering its services in restoration and preservation of historical structures, INTACH would also embark upon a drive to preserve old manuscripts and other artifacts.
